Reflection: The work atmosphere is very laid back. Often when decisions are to be made, the owner will ask everyones opinion before making his decision. The dress code is casual and the store has a inviting feel to it. When customers come into the store, they are greeted and offered help. Customers at Quarter Note Music are not forced into sales like some music stores; they are instead offered the best help we can offer for them to be satisfied with their purchase.

Reflection: At Quarter Note Music Store I will be working the front desk and I will help customers that want to rent an instrument, have questions about store items, want to set up lessons, and want to buy items from the store. When customers rent instruments, I enter them into the data base with all their information so that they can be billed for their monthly rent. Also when customers set up lessons, I enter them into a lesson excel spread sheet to reserve their time and I also send the instructor a message to inform them of their new student. I work with one other person usually in the front of the store, but I sometimes work by myself. When there are no customers in need of help I clean the store and clean instruments.

Reflection: My internship is at Quarter Note Music Store in Apex. The store is owned by a husband and wife that bought Bert's Music in Cary. They sell musical instruments, accessories, repairs, and provide music lessons. I am very excited to work in a music store because I am a musician and I am looking forward to interacting with customers that are also musicians. I am also looking forward to helping people that are just getting started with their instrument.
